IAO Yorkshire Organ Day at York & Everingham Saturday 9th May 2009

Programme 10:00am Coach departs York for Everingham. 11:00am Talk on music at Everingham by John Rowntree and a recital of C18th English organ music by Alan Spedding on the 1837 Charles Allen organ in the spectacular private chapel of St Mary & St Everilda. 12:15pm Coach departs Everingham for St George’s Church, York Lunch - own arrangements. 2:30pm Concert by Peter Seymour and Compagnia d’Istrumenti at St George’s Church, including a Handel organ concerto. 4:00pm Talk on the 1821 James Davis organ at St George’s by John Rowntree. 5.15pm Evensong in York Minster

The coach, which must be booked in advance by purchasing a day ticket, will depart from the Memorial Gardens, Leeman Road, which is close to York railway station and stops from Designer Outlet and Rawcliffe Bar Park & Ride buses. To be sure of a seat on the coach, please return your booking form by Monday 27^th April at the latest.
