About the Worcestershire Organists' Association
The Association was established in 1964 and membership usually numbers between seventy and eighty. We are a friendly group of people dedicated to furthering knowledge and appreciation of the organ and its music including its liturgical use. There are no restrictions on membership - it is not necessary to be an organist!
Our members include players of all abilities, professional and amateur, and others who simply enjoy listening and learning more about the organ, its repertoire, history and so on. We welcome and encourage new members, young and old.
A committee of twelve, including the Chairman, Hon. Secretary and Hon. Treasurer, is responsible for running the Association; elections for all positions are held at the A.G.M. every January. The committee is authorised to co-opt up to two additional members.
