Future Meetings

Monday June 14th 2010 Summer Social at The Wardenry, Farley by kind invitation of Dr. and Mrs. Godfrey.  7.00pm for 7.30pm-9.30pm. The format is likely to be much the same as in previous years and the cost will be about the same as last year at £8.00 per head. Please bring your own cutlery and garden chairs. Let the Secretary Janice Brown know at least a week ahead if you would like to attend.
Wednesday September 1st 2010. Visit to St. Michaels‘ Church Lyme Regis  The proposal is to leave Salisbury at 9.00am and we hope to have the use of the minibus. On arrival at about 11.00am Richard Godfrey who has had some input into the installation of this organ would like to structure the visit so that it is like a relaxed Masterclass. (For the benefit of our newer members it is perhaps worth pointing out that whatever title we give to these sort of events the idea is for people to come along and receive some advice and guidance on their performance in an informal and friendly atmosphere. It is not a high flying professional Masterclass as seen on TV. ! )  We could then adjourn somewhere nice for lunch about 1.00pm and perhaps spend a little time in Lyme Regis before returning home possibly taking in another organ en route.
Wednesday November 17th 2010 Cathedral Workshop. We will use the format of the last two years which has proved very popular.
Monday November 29th 2010 President's Dinner. Venue and speaker to be arranged. The feeling is that we have a change of venue this year and we are investigating the possibility of using the Cathedral Refectory if a suitable price can be negotiated. This would give us the opportunity to have some organ music beforehand. We are also inviting a speaker whom we hope you will enjoy ... It is not likely that the date will change so please make a note in your diaries.
Saturday 29th January 2011 Annual General Meeting 2.15 pm. Venue is likely to be the BSR in the Cathedral School.
Saturday 1st October 2011  South-West Regional Conference of the IAO  In Salisbury
