Corinne Hepburn MA(Oxon), FRCO, LRAM, LGSM, PGCE

Corinne first learned the organ with Andrew Newberry and then with Christopher Gower at Peterborough Cathedral. At th age of 12 she was made the assistant organist at St. John’s Church, Werrington. At Oxford University she continued her studies with the American organist, Dr. Walter Hillsman. She won prizes in the ARCO examination and gained the FRCO in 1993. She was formerly the Director of Music at Cheltenham Ladies’ College and the Organist of Emmanuel Church, Cheltenham.

Corinne has now moved to live near Coventry and is a visiting teach at the Ladies’ College and examines for the ABRSM. The third book in her “Getting started on the Organ” series, “Getting started on the Pedals: a new approach” has recently been published by Animus.

Although Corinne has moved from our district she remains a member of the GOA.
