13 Jan                   Scotstoun Parish Church

                              Recital by Tom Wilkinson, MA MMus FRCO

                              University organist and Director of Chapel Choirs, St Andrews

                             


8 February            St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow - *please note 7-8 pm

                             An opportunity to observe Frikki Walker rehearsing the Cathedral’s

                             junior choristers; short introduction by Frikki, and concluding refreshments!

3 March               Church of Christ the King, Kingspark, Glasgow

                            Celebrity recital 

                            Martin Baker, Master of Music, Westminster Cathedral

                            *PLEASE NOTE: change of time - now commences at 2.00 pm


14 April                St Mungo’s Museum of Religious Life and Art, Castle St, Glasgow.

                            AGM

***Please note - due to Easter week, the AGM is being held slightly later than usual***


4-5 May                SFO Conference - Dundee


2 June                  Walking tour of Edinburgh organs -

                             A joint event with Edinburgh Society of Organists, visiting various organs from the East to the

                                     West of the city, finishing near Haymarket station.  Travel will be by bus, so a bus pass or day

                                     ticket is all that is required.  A soup and sandwich lunch will be included in the schedule.

                                     Route includes:

                                     St Margaret’s, Easter Road; Canongate Kirk; Masonic Lodge (this is the Snetzler in Lodge 

                                     Canongate Kilwinning No 2, which is extremely interesting); St Michaels’ Slateford.


                                     *Further information regarding finalised itinerary, with confirmation of all the organs to be visited               

                                     and timings, will appear in a future newsletter.
