About the EDOAThe Exeter and District Organists Association is a very friendly and mutually supportive group based in Devon. We currently have about 100 members including non-players and cathedral organists; all are made to feel equally welcome. We meet around eight times a year to pursue a wide range of activities. These include visits to interesting organs, master classes and workshops, concerts and recitals and non-musical social events such as the annual dinner. A list of some future events planned for 2007 can be found opposite. A newsletter (circulated to our members around four times a year) includes information about our events as well as including information about other related concerts and musical events, and organist vacancies. Membership costs just £11 per year (students £6), which entitles them to a discount if they subscribe to Organists Review. The Association offers small bursaries to young organ students who are also members. More information about our events, local vacancies and becoming a member of EDOA can be had from our Hon. Secretary, Mrs Liz Hogg, Prestercot, Butts Lane, Christow, Devon, EX6 7NN. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
